There are not so many children's theaters in Moscow that have interesting performances in their repertoire. One of them bears the name of Natalia Sats. The theatre, whose hall scheme demonstrates a large number of seats, is located on Vernadsky Avenue.
What is special about this theatre?
This place is notable for being the very first musical theater in the Soviet Union, aimed at young viewers. Before him, there were no theaters with a musical repertoire adapted to the perception of children and adolescents.
The troupe presented its first performance on the stage of the Variety Theatre. It was the opera Morozko, edited by M. I. Krasev.
The troupe moved into the building where the performances are now held in 1979.
How does theater work?
Named after Natalia Sats, the theater layout of which makes it clear that the building was built according to a typical design of the Soviet 70s, has two stages - a large and a small one.
The large hall is designed for a total of 1100 spectators. Quite full-fledged performances are given here with the participation of a large number of artists, beautiful and complex scenery and lighting design.
The small stage is often referred to as the concert stage. The number of seats for spectators here is only 300. As a rule, there are performances for the youngest visitors, for example, "Aibolit". It also hosts children's philharmonic concerts, various small music festivals and performances by teen bands.
Where would it be more comfortable to sit?
When planning to go to a play with a child, every parent is puzzled by the choice of a place, regardless of where they plan to go, of course, the Sats Theater is no exception. The layout of the hall does not tell you where it is better to sit, it can only give an idea of the remoteness of the stage and the viewing angle.
And given that performances associated with auditory perception are given in this theater, that is, operas, vaudevilles, operettas and others, the acoustic features of the room are of paramount importance.
Those who are going to visit the small stage have nothing to worry about. You can sit down absolutely anywhere. The Small Hall has recently been completely renovated and is now one of the most modern and technically equipped in the country.
But with the big stage everything is more complicated. A feature of typical projects for theaters of young spectators was the so-called sound pit. That is, this is a phenomenon in the presence of which in certain places of the auditorium nothing is heard at all, or the sound comes with interference. In some rooms, there is an echo effect in the sound pits.
Big stage in building No. 5Prospekt Vernadsky is no exception. If you are going here for a performance, you should not take tickets to the center of the hall, starting from the last couple of rows of the stalls and ending with the middle of the amphitheater. There is no sound dip at the edges.
