This theater was founded recently. The troupe consists of young artists and students of the theater school. The theater repertoire includes performances based on plays by contemporary authors.
Founding History
Youth Theater on Bulak was founded in 2010. Its creators are E. A. Aladinsky, V. A. Stepantsov, R. M. Fatkulin and a team of talented students of the theater school. They aspired to ensure that their theater gave young talents the opportunity to express themselves and experiment. They did not have their own building, so they occupied the second floor of the retro club, where no more than 150 spectators can be received. The theater on Bulak was collected bit by bit, on a voluntary basis they equipped the stage, carried furniture, looked for props, made the scenery themselves, since the troupe did not have any support from the state or patrons of art.
About the theater
Youth Theater on Bulak today is one of the most popular. In 2012, the entire building was taken over by the troupe. Now the first floor is used to bring various creative ideas to life. Here, in addition to performances, the attention of the audience is provided with festivals and concerts, for example, the Fishing Sports Festival, where actorsconducted entertainment programs for children. Theater artists take part in events that are of great importance for the city of Kazan.
Youth Theater on Bulak is an active participant and organizer of various interesting and original projects. Since 2013, the Art Bush festival has been held here, in which actors, musicians, artists and so on take part. At the festival "White Nights in Perm" the troupe of the theater showed their performance called "Winter", for which they were highly appreciated by both the public and critics. The artists were visited by such celebrities as Chulpan Khamatova and Evgeny Grishkovets, they gave the troupe a number of their valuable recommendations and left many good wishes.
The Kazan Youth Theater strives to surprise its audience. The troupe's repertoire also included projects for children, as well as thematic performances that are close to WWII veterans. This theater is bright, unusual, different from others. Young and talented actors have a chance to become part of the troupe, as directors often conduct castings. The name of the theater comes from the name of the street on which it is located - Pravo-Bulachnaya, and the inhabitants of the city call it "Bulak".
Building
The theater on Bulak is an inconspicuous in architecture, but unusual in color building, built during the Soviet era. Inside is very cozy and comfortable. The walls are painted black and hung with lots of photographs and paintings. The auditorium is designed for 150 seats, a small stage looks like a podium, not far from itworth the piano. There is twilight here. Those who enter the theater for the first time, having entered the hall, begin to doubt whether they have ended up in a nightclub. But doubts quickly disappear as soon as the performance begins.
The first row of the auditorium consists of soft leather sofas designed for two people - ideal for a date with an intelligent girl who is interested in art. Nowadays, tickets for performances of all theaters can be purchased by booking them by phone or via the Internet. The Theater on Bulak is no exception. The layout of the hall, which will help you make a choice of seats, is presented in this article.

The theater on Bulak offers its audience performances for every taste. Here you can see performances not only for adults, but also for children. Performance "Golden Boys"
The play "Golden Boys" Theater on Bulak offers viewers over 18 years old. This is a story about six friends who were once colleagues and worked at a metallurgical plant that closed. As a result, they have lost their jobs and have families to provide for.
The heroes are busy looking for a new job, but all in vain. All hope is almost lost that there will be something for them to their liking, which will suit them in all respects. Friends come up with the idea - to start making money in an adult bar where ladies paybig money to watch striptease performances by muscular men. The guys believe that it is there that you can get "easy money". They form a striptease group and plan to drive women in nightclubs crazy with their performances.
The Ugly Duckies take the stage and turn into superheroes in front of the audience. Friends take on this task, but they cannot even imagine what will await them on the way to the realization of their goal.
Performance "Choi"
One of the performances that the Theater on Bulak recently presented to its audience is Tsoi. This is a musical-plastic drama about the life of a legendary musician using his songs. The main role is played by an actor who looks very similar to his character and, moreover, is similar to him in his mental organization.
The story of such a person as Viktor Tsoi is not an easy task, therefore, in addition to music, plasticity and the artist's dramatic talent, various metaphors are used in the performance. For example, the black pouffe in the hands of the characters symbolizes his fate, and the hanging window, which V. Tsoi approaches very often throughout the performance, means a breath of fresh air.
This is a solo performance, that is, one actor takes part in it, and all the attention of the viewer is riveted to him. The artist lives the whole life of V. Tsoi every time for one hour, so that he continues to live in the hearts of people. The performance begins with the fact that the hero performs the song "A Star Called the Sun", and then draws a large bright luminary. Over timethere is a meeting of V. Tsoi with a guitar that will remain with him for life. At the end of the performance, the song will sound, which became the last in the life of the legendary musician - “Our hearts require changes.”
Reviews
People of all ages love to visit the Theater on Bulak. The reviews they leave about his productions, about the artists and the building itself, make it possible to verify this. Spectators say that after they visited this theater, their ideas about this kind of art have changed radically, since the direction of the performances is original and modern.
The audience is very impressed with the atmosphere that reigns inside - no pathos, chic, excessive pomposity, everything is friendly, sincere, thanks to which the audience feels really welcome and long-awaited guests. The interior of the theater pleases the eye with a large number of hand-made design elements that create the feeling that you are in a creative workshop. The audience is also surprised by the way the seats are located in the auditorium: on the sides, 2 tiers consist of soft sofas. But still, those who have already visited the theater more than once and sat in different rows recommend buying tickets to the stalls, because on the sofas, although gently, they can interfere with viewing the column, because of which you will have to stretch your neck all the time and bend over to see the whole action.
The audience is also pleased that before the start of the performance, the artistic director comes on stage to greet the audience and chat with them. He talks a little about the theater andeven notes which of the spectators have come here for the first time, and who is here for the first time. Another interesting fact noted by theater visitors is that artists often go out into the hall and interact with the audience. Minimalism in the sets is also noted as a big plus, as more attention is paid to the artistry of the actors.
How to get there
The building is quite noticeable in terms of the color scheme of the outer walls, and it is not difficult to find it, since it has themed drawings and a signboard topped with a wrought-iron lantern. This is exactly what the Theater on Bulak looks like. Its address: Kazan, Pravo-Bulachnaya street, house No. 13. The theater troupe is always looking forward to visiting its grateful audience, who can appreciate the talented play of novice artists.
