Storyline

The cartoon begins with a scene in the other world. Grand Master Oogway is attacked by his former friend and comrade, one of the best fighters in China, Kai. Many years ago, after seeing one day how the pandas in the mysterious village use the energy of Qi, he decided to appropriate it for himself in order to become the most powerful warrior. Because of Kai's exorbitant ambitions, Master Oogway had to imprison him in the world of spirits, where he devoted all his time spent in prison to training, dreamingsomeday return to mortals and take revenge. And only a true Dragon Warrior can defeat such a villain.

In this part of the cartoon, Po is waiting not only for amazing adventures, but also for solving family problems. The main character will be reunited with his own father, the same panda as Po himself. Together with his dad, Li Shan, he reaches a secret village inhabited only by pandas. They are all as good-natured and clumsy as the main character, and just as fond of food and fun.

While Po is getting to know his relatives, the malicious Kai appears, who has set himself the goal of destroying the entire legacy of Oogway, taking away the Qi energy from his students. Only the tigress manages to escape, and she tells the terrible news: all the kung fu masters have died, Kai is already close. To resist the villain, the Dragon Warrior begins to teach kung fu skills to his relatives. It's just that being a teacher is not so easy, especially if the role of students is, albeit kind, but very clumsy pandas.

Authors and creators of the cartoon "Kung Fu Panda - 3"

As well as the two previous parts, this cartoon was created at the American animation studio Dream Works. Directorial work was entrusted to Alessandro Carloni (he had not previously worked with films about the panda Po) and Jennifer Yu (directed the second part of the film about the adventures of the panda - the master of kung fu). Screenwriters Glenn Berger and Jonathan Aibel worked on all three films about the adventures of the panda warrior, they also worked togetherworked on other successful projects such as "Monsters vs. Aliens" and "Trolls".

Kung Fu Panda 3 reviews, ratings and awards

This cartoon is not recommended for viewing by viewers under the age of 6 years. In addition, the MPAA rating advises parents to be close to their children during the film screening.

Viewers praised the level of animation and soundtrack, and the content of the tape, as always, caused controversy. Some returned from the cinema with rave reviews, while others considered the third part an unsuccessful conclusion to the trilogy about the adventures of the Dragon Warrior.

The rating of the cartoon according to IMDb is 7, 1, and the rating of film critics is 86% (reviews posted on one of the English-language sites are taken into account). Almost all reviews left by Russian critics were positive.

The first and second parts of the film were quite highly acclaimed by critics. So, both were nominated for an Oscar as the best animated film in 2009 and 2012. The first prequel won several 2009 Annie Awards and several other awards. The cartoon "Kung Fu Panda - 3" and the actors in 2016 did not receive a single award. And as a possible winner, they were offered only at two awards: from the MTV channel and Saturn.

According to the producer of the cartoon about the adventures of a furry kung fu fan and his friends Melissa Cobb, the character of the main character was originally supposed to be more foolish, and the panda himself was supposed to be more stupid. However, after listening, it was decided to completely change his temper. Speaking about "Kung Fu Panda - 3" Black Jack notes that it's time for his hero Po to grow up, he has to become a teacher. In addition, the actor likes him not only for his coolness, but also for the fact that he is not a typical macho who saves the world - he is naive, sweet and charming, and it is these qualities that make him unique, unlike other heroes.

In addition to Black Jack, the voice actors of "Kung Fu Panda - 3" (2016) included Angelina Jolie (Master Tigress speaks in her voice in all parts of Po's adventures), David Cross (voiced Master Crane), Lucy Liu (given her voice to Master Viper), Jackie Chan (Master Monkey), Seth Rogen (as Master Mantis), Jean-Claude Van Damme (Master Claude), Justin Hoffman (Grand Master Shifu), Randall Duk Kim (Grand Master Oogway), Bryan Creston (Poe's father), J. K. Simons (the main villain Kai) and many other famous actors.

Russian actors

In the Russian version of the cartoon "Kung Fu Panda - 3" (2016), Mikhail Galustyan was chosen as the dubbing actor for the main character. As Mikhail said in one of the interviews devoted to working on a cartoon about the adventures of a panda - a kung fu warrior, the main character is close to him in spirit: he also loves to eat, joke andfool around and knows how not to lose heart in any situation.

Olga Zubkova, Alexander Gavrilin, Denis Bespaly, Marina Shults and Diomid Vinogradov speak for the members of the Furious Five. Also in the cartoon you can hear Sergei Chikhakhev, Boris Bystrov, Alexander Hotchenkov and other domestic actors.

Will there be a sequel?

After the fantastic success of the first part of the cartoon about the adventure of a panda and his friends, the head of the Dream Works studio made a statement that, if successful, a series of several parts might be created. To date, the exact release date of the sequel to the cartoon "Kung Fu Panda - 3" (2016) is not known, the cast and plot are also not disclosed. According to various sources, the premiere should be expected no earlier than 2019.
