The Moscow musical theater "Monoton" has existed since 1970. Initially, it was a studio for talented youth. Since the 90s, it has grown into a real theater.

"Monoton" is a theater in Mitino, which is the first musical repertory theater in Moscow. Its creator is A. V. Greznev. Alexander Vitalyevich is the director, artistic director and director of Monoton to this day. There are three troupes in the theater: professionals, youth and children. The name of the theater is formed from two words: "mono", that is, one, and "tone" - mood. Here the main principle of the musical is encoded. Legendary performance

"The Tale of Fedot Sagittarius" is a well-known work of the actor and writer Leonid Filatov in our country. It was from the musical performance according to its plot that the Monoton Theater began its creative activity. His playbill still offers the audience this production, which has already become legendary. The author of "The Tale of Fedot Sagittarius" Leonid Filatov himself appreciated the performance of the "Monoton" theater very highly. The play was written specifically for theater productions.

The plot of the work is simple and similar to Russian folk tales. Once upon a time there was an archer Fedot, and he had a wife Marusya. The tsar liked Fedotov's wife, and he decided to get her. He gave many different orders to the archer, even ordered to bring something that cannot be in the world, in the hope that he would not be able to do this, and then it would be possible to execute him. But Marusya turned out to be a sorceress and helped her husband fulfill all the orders that the stupid evil king gave him. The play is unique in its wit, irony and author's jargon, it is both sad and funny at the same time.

Technical school

The musical theater "Monoton" is one of the few that have on its basis a secondary specialized educational institution that trains future actors. The technical school was opened in 1991year, but originally it was a lyceum. In 2005, the first graduation ceremony took place at the Leonid Filatov Training Center. There are several departments in the technical school:

• acting, where future musical artists are taught;
• director's, where directors of theatrical performances are trained;
• Course for leaders of creative teams;
• theatre administrators;
• radio operators;
• designers in the theater.

Technical school graduates receive state diplomas of secondary vocational education. In 2007, the teaching staff was replenished with new personnel, several highly qualified specialists joined it - honored workers of art and culture, as well as candidates of sciences and professors.

The technical school trains from 3 to 17 years old. Children aged 3 to 6 receive preschool education. From 6 to 9 years old - junior school. The elementary school of the actor lasts from 9 to 13. At the age of 13, students move to the next, already professional, level of education - a theater school, which they graduate at 17. From a very young age, the guys are immersed in the atmosphere of art. The same subjects are taught here as in a regular general education school, plus there is vocational training depending on the chosen direction. Students perform roles in the performances of the Monoton Theater - this is an internship for them. The technical school has already gained a reputation as an educational institution where students receive professional education at a very high level. Alumni of this training centerreceive higher education in the best theatrical universities of our country, and also successfully build their careers in the musical theater "Monoton" and in other theaters in Russia.
