Robert Steven Singer was born in 1950. Not everything went smoothly in his parents' family: his father liked to drink and beat his wife and son.

The next season, despite all precautions, Bobby is possessed by a demon and tries to use it to kill the Winchesters. True, the hero manages to control himself for a few moments and stab himself with an anti-demon knife. He manages to survive after this injury, but he spends almost the entire season in a wheelchair. Suffering from this, the character sometimes falls intodepression (especially because of the story of the return of the zombie wife) and is constantly looking for a way to heal. Unfortunately, the angels who are able to grant Singer he alth refuse to do so.

In one of the episodes, Bobby is forced to pledge his soul to the demon Crowley, who heals the hero's illness as a bonus. In the sixth season, this deal gives the character a lot of problems, as the demon does not want to play fair. As a result, Singer finds the burial place of the body of the demon himself and uses blackmail to force him to return the soul. The rest of the time, Bobby helps Dean get back Sam's soul, which was left in a hellish cage with Lucifer.

In the seventh season, because of Castiel, the terrible creatures Leviathans penetrate the human world. It is Bobby who plays one of the key roles in defeating them.

Bobby's death and becoming a ghost

The leader of the leviathans, who settled in the body of Dick Roman, is the culprit in the death of Singer: during the sortie of the brothers and Bobby into the enemy's lair, this monster shoots the latter in the head. However, the hero does not die immediately. He ends up in the hospital, and his soul, waiting for Bobby Singer to die, travels through his memories. Just before his death, the hero wakes up and tells Sam and Dean about the plans of the leviathans.

After Bobby's death, the Winchesters burn his body. However, Singer's spirit is left to roam the world, invisible to others, thanks to Bobby's flask, which the brothers kept as a keepsake.

Gradually, the hero learns to control his phantom powers. In the role of a ghost, he saves Sam more than once andDina. Over time, Bobby's spirit begins to seek revenge on his killer and almost kills Sam on the way. Realizing everything, Singer asks to destroy the flask, thus leaving the world of the living.

Singer's life in the afterlife

Demon Crowley, remembering all of Bobby's deeds, seeks to, contrary to his merits, he ended up in the underworld. The hero himself explained the injustice with the following words: "You seem to do a little evil in order to do a lot of good later. But sometimes evil turns out to be damn evil … And good … You have to pay an exorbitant price for it."

The Winchesters learn about this much later - during their attempts to close the gates of hell, for which Sam had to complete several tasks. The second of them was the salvation of an innocent soul from hell. This soul belongs to Bobby.

Once in hell, Singer every minute endured the most terrible torture for him: he saw how Sam and Dean become demons. The younger Winchester still manages to get Bobby out of hell and through purgatory to bring people into the world. Here Crowley wanted to send him back to suffer, but the angel Naomi helped the Winchesters' mentor get to heaven.

Bobby's participation in the last few seasons

Singer's character appears periodically in every season of Supernatural. In the ninth, he acts as a part of Sam's consciousness that does not want to live in this world anymore.

In the tenth season, this hero was mentioned in separate episodes. And in the episode "The Insider", Bobby helps Sam and Castiel learn from the archangel Metatron how to remove the curse of the Mark of Cain from Dean.

In the eleventhseason, this character appears in the Winchesters' flashbacks.
