Biography
The world-famous brush master Sergei Teplyakov was born in Moscow into an intelligent family of an architect and a pianist. Little Seryozha spent all his childhood in an atmosphere of art, which was facilitated by constant music lessons with his mother and painting with his grandfather, Mikhail Taraev, an artist known throughout the Soviet Union. Grandfather, who at one time received the Ilya Repin Prize and the title of "People's Artist of the USSR", immediatelysaw the boy's innate talent for painting and insisted that Sergei Teplyakov be sent to the Stroganov Art Academy.
Teplyakov was admitted to a course of classical painting, where the young man studied the styles and techniques of depicting people, objects and states of various substances for several years, and also actively experimented with artistic materials, mastering paints, crayons, and tempera.
The choice of Sergei Teplyakov's style was influenced by long conversations with his grandfather, as well as with creative people who visited his parents' house. The Teplyakovs' apartment constantly became a meeting place for the artistic and literary elite of that time, which, of course, formed Sergei's excellent taste.
In 1998, Teplyakov was admitted to the Union of Artists of Russia.
Creative career
The paintings of the artist Sergei Teplyakov are of high quality and amazing realism, but the master was in no hurry to present his work to the public for a long time.
