There are many obsessive fears: the well-known claustrophobia and its opposite - agoraphobia (fear of open space), aerophobia (fear of flying on an airplane) and others. Less common is pediophobia.
Soul Transmigration
Perhaps, for some, she appeared after meeting one famous character? Chucky doll could well inspire pediophobia, because this term means precisely the fear of dolls. Don Mancini came up with the character a quarter of a century ago, and he laid the foundation for the Child's Play franchise. Then the film with an unusual killer villain in the face of a toy red-haired boy cut its budget four times and immediately found a lot of fans.
It all started in this story with the fact that a dying maniac who was fond of voodoo magic managed to move his spirit into the first toy that came across (escaping from police persecution, Charles ended up in a toy store) - it turned out to be a Chucky doll (then it was also called just "Good guy".
After getting to the boy Andy, this little monster began to commit villainous murders, and along the way came up with a plan to return to his human form. In the first frames, the viewer meets the psychopath CharlesLee Ray (curiously, this name is collected from three others belonging to famous killers, the most famous of which are Charlie Manson and Lee Harvey Oswald). He is played by Brad Dourif, who later became the "voice" of Chucky for all the films in the cycle. Debuting as Billy (for which he claimed an Oscar) in the Forman film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, this artist was later remembered by the public as the sinister Grima from The Lord of the Rings.
Unconvincing continuation
The next two sequels - a sequel and a triquel of "Children's Play" - did not arouse the delight of the audience. Collected piece by piece by unsuspecting people, the Chucky doll is resurrected again and again, leaving a trail of blood and continuing to try to find a human essence in the body of a grown Andy. However, the plots were contrived, and the actions of the characters were unconvincing. Chucky's doll no longer instilled horrors. Somewhat exaggerated black comedy has fully blossomed in the fourth part of the franchise - Bride of Chucky. In this film, Chucky's doll ends up with Charles' ex-fiancee Tiffany, played brilliantly by Jennifer Tilly. The red beast manages to kill the girl and imprison her soul in another doll. Now two sinister toys are on the lookout for victims.
Wife and children
The painting "The offspring of Chucky" was the most criticized. The authors clearly went too far with the vulgarity and trashiness of what once started out as a completely noteworthy horror movie. The son of Chucky and Tiffany Glen, who has doubts about belonging to the male sex (!) And sometimeswho calls himself Glenda, unleashes the monsters again, finding mom and dad on the set where they are being filmed. Doll Chucky with his wife, of course, immediately taken to the old. They take Jennifer Tilly (who is Tiffany's "voice") hostage.
Don Mancini, who has been the author of the script for the cycle about Chucky all these years, in 2013 decided to become the director of his next brainchild. He directed the next part - "The Curse of Chucky." This time, the doll inexplicably appears with two sisters (or rather, with the little daughter of one of them). And, of course, Chucky is true to his evil nature. The picture is interesting because the main character is played by the daughter of Brad Dourif - Fiona, but daddy still voices the satanic toy.
