Nikolai was born on February 21, 1957 in the Moscow region, Ramensky district, in the village of Bykovo. At school he was a diligent child, though not an excellent student. He loved to draw, read books, listen to the legendary at that time "The Beatles". According to him, it was their work that became the impetus for music lessons. He was also fond of sports, like all the guys, and in his free time he often picked up a guitar. After leaving school, Nikolai studied at the Technological Institute of Light Industry in Moscow, but he failed to finish it, he was expelled. In 1989, Igor Matvienko finally realized his idea, which had existed in his head for several years, to create a musical group of a social and patriotic orientation with a courageous serious main soloist. The eldest son of Rastorguev - Pavel - is a businessman, the youngest - Nikolai - is still at school, sings in the choir, but has not yet decided on a profession.
