Biography
Timur Sultanovich Shaov was born on July 14, 1964 in Cherkessk. Timur's family belonged to the creative intelligentsia. His mother was the director of the Institute of Language and Literature, and her father, Timur Shaov's grandfather, Abdul-Khamid Dzhanibekov, is a well-known linguist, ethnographer, and expert in Nogai writing.
Shaov did not receive a fundamental musical education. He learned the basics of music at a music school, and gained stage experience in a local vocal and instrumental ensemble.
