Biography

Vyacheslav Borisovich Petkun came into this world on June 26, 1969, and this joyful event happened in Leningrad, which is now called St. Petersburg. The boy has been playing football since childhood, and very successfully, but his he alth did not allow the future rock star to devote his lifeprofessional sports. But, perhaps more than that, Slava loved music and successfully mastered playing the piano (and later the guitar).

When Vyacheslav Petkun received his secondary education, he went to the Leningrad Financial and Economic Institute, but he was not destined to finish his studies. Excessive employment in a musical career is to blame for everything. For a while, the singer worked selflessly in various bands, but did not achieve the desired success, so his own project soon appeared to the world.

Success

In 1995, Vyacheslav Petkun and his friend Oleg Polesovshchikov created the Dances Minus group and set off to conquer Moscow. The guys found the missing participants and began to work tirelessly so that their talent was finally noticed. Over the years of the band's existence, six full-length albums and two greatest hits compilations have been released.

Petkun quickly became a popular personality, so in 2002 he was invited to the role of Quasimodo in the musical "Notre Dame Cathedral", which was based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo. The musician happily agreed, especially since the domestic version turned out to be no worse than the original one - the French Notre Dame de Paris. Soon Petkun got a job at STS as the host of the Black and White TV program, and then founded an agency to promote young talents, which worked for five years.

New time

For a while, nothing was heard about "Dancing Minus", but in 2014 the group pleasedtheir fans with the album "Cold", which critics and admirers appreciated. And two years later, the guys recorded the song "Tonight the cars will not return to the garage", which was written by the talented author Ilya Kormiltsev, known for his work with Nautilus and Nastya.

His wife's name is Julia, and she gave the musician four beautiful children: Tikhon, Luka, Ekaterina and Tatyana.

Petkun believes in God and professes Orthodoxy, so he named one of his sons in honor of St. Luke the Evangelist. According to the musician himself, neither he nor Yulia planned to create such a large family, but God made them happy. So this is his will.
