Sid and Nancy

A film based on the true life story of Sid Vicious, who was part of the famous Sex Pistols. The legendary bass player, according to many, was not the most talented in his field. There were many musicians who were vastly superior to Sid.

But it was Vicious who perfectly fit into the image of the punk rock band Sex Pistols. In the late seventies, he joined the group and became its core. However, just as Sid became an integral part of the Sex Pistols, Nancy has also become an integral part of Sid's life.

A girl - an experienced drug addict - lived only for the fulfillment of her two desires: a new dose and a shared night with each of the group members. And she achieved each of them.

For the other members of the Sex Pistols, Nancy was an unremarkable episode. Just not for Sid. He fell in love with Nancy. But a painful relationship, where heroin was involved, was doomed to a tragic ending.

In 2008, the Ranetki project was launched on the STS channel. The series quickly gained popularity among teenagers.

The main characters of the series are five girls: Anya, Lera, Natasha, Zhenya and Lena. Anya just recently moved from Yekaterinburg to Moscow with her parents. Behind her were her friends, her whole life. The new city has not yet brought Anya anything good: she is not noticed at school, her parents began to constantly quarrel. The only thingsaves Anya - music.

When the school announces admission to the music circle, the girl happily joins the group and gets to know the rest of the members. Lera is the daughter of a military man, but there are no “brakes” in her behavior. She lives one day and does not worry about anything. Her best friend Natasha is only passionate about her guitar and dreams of meeting her father, who left the family before the girl was born. Lena lives for basketball, but this does not prevent her from becoming part of the Ranetki group. The series tells about how together they were able to help Zhenya get out of the sect and join the group. The girls are completely different, but they have one thing in common - loneliness in the crowd, where parents cannot help to cope with problems.

Together with the arrival of Zhenya, the rock group "Ranetki" begins its activities. The first stage is the assembly hall of the school. The first spectators are teachers and students of their native school. But the girls are talented, they themselves write new songs and create the image of their group. And soon good luck smiles at them.

Female rock bands are less common than male ones. Voice features do not always allow women to perform sweat heavy guitar riffs. But "Ranetki" showed that even on the domestic stage, ordinary girls can win their place under the sun.

Locked in the Garage

Released in 2003, the musical comedy School of Rock tells the story of guitarist Dewey Finn. His career is a continuous series of scandals. He denies any norms of behavior in society, is not afraid to express his opinion, even if it is inappropriate.

Finn rejects all values except rock. He believes that only rock and roll can rule the world. Dewey likes to jump off the stage and drag out his guitar solos for twenty minutes. Finn believes his band can win the local competition. But the guitarist's plans did not come true: he was kicked out of the band.

But Dewey's outrageousness and courage go hand in hand with an inability to accumulate a livelihood. Therefore, when he receives an offer to replace a teacher in a private school, he agrees without hesitation. Only now Finn does not intend to "teach" students. He intends to create a real rock band for their shy schoolchildren.

Rock of Ages

Eighty-seventh year of the last century. Sherry Christian moves from distant Oklahoma to the "City of Angels". She dreams of becoming a famous singer. Drew Pain's shift starts at The Bourbon Room at the same time. Nothing connects them until Sherry becomes the victim of a street theft. Robbers steal her suitcase. Drew tries to intervene, but he fails to help the girl. In Rock of Ages, Drew helps Sherry settle into a new city and gets her a job as a waitress in a bar.

As time goes by, Drew and Sherry are slowly getting closer. Soon the man reveals his secret: he is writing a song for Sherry. The chance to perform a new track is tucked up quickly. The band that was supposed to be the opening act didn't show up at the bar. Then Drew persuades to give Sherry and his group a chance.

The whole film is saturated with the spirit of the rock band of the 80s. Foreign popular singers flash in the frames. Will the young musicians be able to break into the cruel world of show business?

The Last Days

The film "The Last Days" tells the story of rock musician Blake. In the first minutes of the film, Blake's walk is presented to the viewer. He is walking along a forest path. The musician spends several hours in nature: either stopping by an almost extinct fire, or holding his gaze on the course of the river, or simply going deep into the forest.

ButBlack's privacy is only an appearance. Outside the forest, producers are waiting for him, who insist that he take part in a new tour. The woman tries to meet him and find out what his relationship with the child is. Friends are looking for Blake to solve minor problems. Even a private detective is trying to break the privacy of a musician.

The man does not intend to go out to people. He just wanders through the forest, whispering incomprehensible words under his breath and writing down lines of new texts in a notebook. Blake isn't just tired, he's exhausted. The fire of life in him flares up only once, when he picks up a guitar and performs his last song.

He settles down by the greenhouse and falls asleep. Some time later, the gardener finds Blake dead. His friends, fearing problems, leave Blake's house.

The scriptwriter admitted that the film has become semi-biographical. The idea came to him after he read materials about the last days of the life of the legendary Kurt Cobain, the leader of the Nirvana group.
