Australian band A. C./DC (AC/DC) have become hard rock legends thanks to their interesting sound and original style of performance. Biography
One November morning in 1973, the brothers Angus and Malcolm Young woke up determined to start their own gang. The result was a project called AC / DC (“A C / DC”), which later became famous all over the world, but then the guys with Scottish roots only dreamed about it.
These Aussies are on a par with such geniuses as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motörhead and Queen. After all, all these groups have contributed to the development of hard rock, becoming a role model for the next generation. However, the permanence was short-lived, and two years later Cliff Williams replaced Mark Evans as bassist.
A little more time passed and on February 19, 1980, a tragic event happened - AC / DC frontman Bon Scott died, choking on his own vomit, as he was dead drunk. However, the band did not split, and the deceased vocalist was successfully replaced by Brian Johnson. With his arrival, the band recorded the highest-grossing vinyl titled Back in Black, selling over 62 million copies.
Australia's AC/DC have sold over two hundred million records in total and become one of the most successful rock bands in history. The most famous hits are You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells and Highway To Hell.
