At the moment, the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic is one of the most famous and historical stages in the country. The best cultural events of the city of various scales constantly take place here, famous artists perform, and it is here that every art lover can find what he likes. Before talking about the features of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic, I would like to go back a few decades and see how this “pearl” of art was formed.

History

Whoever says anything, but 79 years old is a very respectable age. During this time, almost everything can change. In a person's life, in the history of a country or city, and indeed in everything. And if we take into account that changes are taking place on such a scale, it is even hard to imagine what could happen within the walls of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic. Every day more and more new concerts are held in it, not only domestic artists and singers, but also people who come from far abroad take the stage. It is precisely because of the intensive concert and touring activities of many artists that the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic will never lose itsrelevance.

First mentioned

The first mention of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic falls on 1938. It was then that the first Concert Organization was formed, which after some time grew into the current Philharmonic Society. L. B. Levantovsky became the first head of the conservatory.

Initially, the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic Society occupied only two rooms of the city Musical College, which was located along Volochaevskaya Street. The Philharmonic has always been active in cultural and concert activities and has never rested on the achieved result. Even during the Great Patriotic War, the Philharmonic went on tour to hospitals to raise the morale of wounded soldiers.

After the war

After the end of the war, in 1953, a musical and creative lecture hall was organized on the basis of the Philharmonic, whose activities continue to this day. A little later, in 1961, thanks to the order of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR, an orchestra was added to the Philharmonic collective, which was called the Far Eastern Symphony Orchestra. From that moment, their joint activities began in the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic.

Active activity

In the period from 1965 to 1985, the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic held a little more than ten large-scale concerts, which performed the music of famous Far Eastern composers, whose names are known to almost all fansart - E. Kazachkov, S. Moskalev, N. Mentzer and many others. During these years, the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic was headed by V. Romanov, and the deputy, and part-time artistic director, was a graduate of one of the famous Soviet conservatories - Valentin Chernin. Only thanks to his merits, he was able to bring the Khabarovsk Philharmonic to a new solid level.

In the 70s, the legendary and honored artist of Russia Vyacheslav Lvovich Sobolevsky took the place of artistic director K. Nikitan. For more than 20 years he served in the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic, every year preserving and developing all the results and achievements of the works of his predecessors.

Famous leader

The next head of the Philharmonic was Gennady Andrianovich Potylitsin, who forever inscribed his name in the history of Khabarovsk culture. There were even legends about him for a long time. He was a very competent leader and always gave all his strength to the development of the Khabarovsk Philharmonic. Potylitsyn is still captured in the Hall of Fame in a photo at the Khabarovsk Philharmonic. Even during a difficult period in the 90s, with his efforts, he not only saved all the creative teams and soloists of absolutely all organizations, but also continued to look for and develop new talents.

In the modern history of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic, there have been no significant changes, except that in the period from 2007 to 2016 the conservatory was headed by Igor Mosin and Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Shendrik. From autumn 2017 to the present positionthe leader is Vladimir Budnikov.

Describing the concert hall of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic, it should be noted that its history is no less interesting than the whole organization.

The Khabarovsk Philharmonic Concert Hall is a unique work of art that is completely different from all other existing stages, not only in the Far East, but also from other philharmonic societies in the country.

The construction of the building of the future regional philharmonic began back in 1880. According to the construction plan, the address of the Khabarovsk Philharmonic was to be located on Shevchenko Street, located along the mighty Amur River, which, with its unimaginable beauty, has always attracted both residents and guests of the city.

This place has been forming a cultural center for many years, contributing to the development of the creative potential of the inhabitants of this eastern town. At the end of the 19th century, the construction of the first brick buildings in Khabarovsk began here, which later became the cultural heritage of the city. The house of the Military Assembly, which was built under the guidance of engineer V. Mooro, stood out the most. This was the beginning of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic. It often hosted performances, organized balls, as well as performances and exhibitions.

At the beginning of the 20th century, according to the sketches of the famous engineer A. Nikolaev-Trukhanin, the House of the Military Assembly was increased to a height of three floors. Austrian and Hungarian artists were engaged in decoration of the appearance on the facades of the building. If nottake into account the reconstruction of the auditorium and the interior in 1938, the future Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic remained in this form until the end of the socialist period.

New restoration

During the Great Patriotic War, there was a military hospital inside the building, and a few years later, after another restoration, the Philharmonic turned into the Musical Comedy Theater. In the 1980s, the building underwent a series of reforms and was urgently handed over to the Far Eastern Art Museum, due to which it again became the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic, which prompted the local intelligentsia to actively attend cultural events again.

The next major restoration took place in 2002, when the building acquired a new look. New sound and lighting equipment was purchased, soft and comfortable chairs for spectators, bright drawings on the walls of the Philharmonic corridors and new ticket offices were installed. There are two halls in the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic - the Bolshoi and the Chamber. And if the first is designed for 462 seats, then the second is almost 4 times less - 98.

The foyer of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic Society is decorated with paintings from the stocks of the Far Eastern Museum, and the chandeliers on the ceilings of the building are made of crystal. On the ground floor there is a restaurant where art lovers can eat and share their emotions and experiences with each other after the wonderful performances of the artists.

Absolutely on every floor there is a monitor on which information about upcoming concerts, programs and performances is always updated. In 2013The leadership of the Philharmonic decided to open a museum of the history of this building, where you can learn everything about the development of the culture of this region and the Philharmonic.
