About the Philharmonic

The Belgorod State Philharmonic was formed in 1966 from a concert and variety bureau. She became a successful career start for the famous Soviet pop singers Nikolai Gnatyuk and Zaur Tutov. Composer Maxim Dunayevsky worked here as the musical director of the Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble.

Today the Philharmonic conducts active musical and educational activities. It expands the audience of its listeners. It introduces children and youth to the great art. Teaches you to understand classical music and love them. Each season, the Philharmonic expands its repertoire with new interesting and vibrant programs.and meetings. Organ concerts have recently become especially popular among them. The audience gradually develops an increasing interest in them. The post of director is occupied by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Svetlana Yurievna Borukha. The artistic director of the Philharmonic is Professor Evgeny Alekseevich Alyoshnikov.

Symphony Orchestra

The Belgorod Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra has been in existence for 23 years. This is the largest group in the city. Over the years of its existence, it has changed the cultural traditions of the city and the region. Every year the orchestra presents about forty new concert programs for its listeners. His repertoire includes world classics, symphonic works, music from films, arias from musicals and operettas, Soviet hits, works by contemporary composers. Many famous conductors and performers have collaborated with the orchestra. Among them are not only talented personalities of our country, but also abroad. Today, the chief conductor of the symphony orchestra is Rashit Nigamatullin.
