In the same year, they were given the building that previously housed the school. In 1936, a studio was opened at the troupe, where future puppeteers studied.
During the war, the building was given over to a hospital. Most of the troupe went to the front. The remaining artists joined the propaganda teams.
In the 50s-60s. the theater has grown rapidly. At that time it was located in the building where the mosque used to be. In 1959, the theater received the status of a regional one.
In the 70s. a new era has begun. Artists began to work together with puppets without a screen - in a live way. Performances for adults appeared in the repertoire. In 1972, the troupe settled in a building on Kirov Street, where it is located today.
