Musical theater

The Musical Comedy Theater (Minsk) was founded in 1970. His first performance was called The Lark Sings. The music for the production was written by Belarusian composer Yuri Semenyako.

The theater received its building in 1981. A room was built especially for him along Myasnikova Street. Soon the repertoire expanded, in addition to musical comedies and operettas, it included musicals, revues, ballets, performances for children, concerts, rock operas, festivals and so on. Accordingly, andthe troupe had to be enlarged.

In 2000, the musical comedy theater was renamed into a musical one. And in 2009 he was awarded the title of "Academic".

Today musical theater is one of the most popular not only in Minsk, but throughout Belarus. During the year, artists receive more than 250 thousand spectators.

The theater provides discounts and even the right to free admission to the performance to privileged categories of citizens. Excursions and meetings with actors are held for students and schoolchildren.

The year 2013 was marked by a loud premiere. The theater staged the musical "Sofya Golshanskaya". It premiered outdoors. The performance won several awards at once at the National Theater Award competition.

The theater also organizes various festivals. One of them is the Week of Musical Arts. Conductors, critics, artists, directors and theater directors take part in the festival. As part of the Week of Musical Art, the best performances of the season are shown on the stage of the theater. There are also master classes for young artists and students.

Tickets to the musical theater (Minsk) can be booked online. The purchase system operates around the clock. You can book a ticket no later than 3 days before the start of the event. The purchase is held in reserve and does not go on sale again for 72 hours. During this time it is necessary to redeem tickets. If the payment is not made, then after 72 hours the reservation is automatically canceled and the tickets go on sale again.

The musical theater is actively touring. He is knownlove and wait not only in other localities of Belarus, but also in countries near and far abroad.

Over the past 6 years, the troupe has made 60 trips. Among the countries visited by the theater are Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Latvia, China, Lithuania, Portugal, Poland, etc. The artists visited such Russian cities as Smolensk, Tula, Yekaterinburg, Kaluga, Petrozavodsk.

Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater

Musical theaters of Minsk are most vividly represented by the temple of art, created in 1933. Although it would be historically correct to consider that it began its existence in the 20s. 20th century. It was then that a drama theater was formed, the troupe of which also included a choir, ballet, operasoloists and a small orchestra. Musical dramas formed the basis of the repertoire. As a result, the team was reorganized in 1933 into the Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 1940, the word "Big" was added to the name. And in 1964 the theater was awarded the title of "Academic".

In 1996 there was a reorganization again. In the toga, the theater was divided into two - opera and ballet. But in 2009, the troupes were again merged into one.

The theater's repertoire includes classical operas and ballets: The Snow Maiden, Nabucco, Tristan and Isolde, La Traviata, Tosca, Chopiniana, Carmen, etc.

The auditorium is designed for 1200 people.
