Konstantin Ivanov, biography of the poet
K. V. Ivanov was born in the small village of Slekbash, located in the Ufa province, in May 1890 in a family of literate and inquisitive peasants. His father tried his best to educate the children, was engaged in their upbringing and development. He subscribed to various magazines, was very fond of reading and was fond of studying agriculture. Vasily Ivanov lovingly passed on his skills to the younger generation, invested his knowledge and life experience in children.
Little Konstantin Ivanov spent a lot of time next tohis beloved grandmother. At the age of eight, he happily went to elementary school, and then moved to the city of Belebeevsky School. In 1903, a thirteen-year-old guy was already distinguished by diligence and quick wit, so he passed all the tests without much difficulty and entered the prestigious Simbirsk Chuvash school, however, then only in the preparatory class. Konstantin studied endlessly and was very eager to become a good student, so he diligently prepared for the exams and successfully passed them.
Love for creativity
During this time, Konstantin Vasilyevich Ivanov fell in love with woodcarving, became interested in carpentry and portraiture. They could hardly pull him out of the workshop, so that the boy would at least unwind and take a walk with his peers. Konstantin Vasilyevich Ivanov was not interested in children's toys - he was occupied with more serious and adult matters. He built small furniture, various cabinets with his own hands, painted portraits and was engaged in scenery for local performances. At the same time, Konstantin Ivanok read the works of Russian and world classics and remained delighted with them. He was a professional photographer and took great pictures. His love for creativity persisted and increased every year and did not fade until the end of his life.
Political side
Young and ambitious Konstantin Ivanov had a democratic attitude and in 1905 could not remain calm and not take part in the actions of the First Russian Revolution. He writes an aggressive"Chuvash Marseilles", where he calls on the people to a rally against tsarism. After a protest, he is expelled from the city school, and he leaves for his village. The poet's hatred of social injustice was maintained throughout his life and reflected in his creative activity. Konstantin Ivanov dreamed that the day would come when the beloved Chuvash people would be freed from the old ways.
Ivan Yakovlev
Ivan Yakovlev played a significant role in the fate of Konstantin Vasilyevich. This man was an inspector of Chuvash schools, a teacher and head of educational activities at the Simbirsk school. Thanks to him, Ivanov started translating and publishing Chuvash books. Many poems, songs and works were translated by him. Konstantin Ivanov copied the works of Lermontov, Ogaryov, Nekrasov, Balmont and other famous people in the Chuvash language. Thanks to the Chuvash educator Ivan Yakovlev, this activity later became one of Ivanov's main occupations.
Creative activity
The peak of Konstantin Ivanov's creative activity is 1907-1908, when he writes such works as "Devil's Slave", "Iron Crusher", "Widow" and the world-famous poem "Narspi". The tragic love story about Narspi and Setner made Konstantin a real celebrity. Even today, almost a hundred years later, people admire the poem and cannot remain indifferent after reading it. Peder Khuzangai translated the poem into Russian and called it "a national miracle and the pinnacle of Chuvash culture."
Soon a whole book with the works of the poet is coming out. The poems of Konstantin Ivanov find their fans and become the property of the people. For the fortieth anniversary of his beloved teacher of the Simbirsk school, the poet prepared a special gift. Konstantin Ivanov, he wrote and dedicated the poem “Our Time” to her.
In 1909, at the beginning of spring, a young attractive guy, already a poet, takes exams and becomes a people's teacher of drawing and calligraphy at a women's school, owned by the Simbirsk school. He is actively involved in the preparation of a textbook for creating Chuvash songs and poems for them. And together with his colleagues, Ivanov publishes a new Primer for the Chuvash, where Russian letters were used. In addition to beautiful poems, poems and translations, Konstantin Ivanov gave the world a lot of graphic and sculptural works.
Death of Konstantin Vasilyevich Ivanov
In 1914, the poet fell seriously ill. A serious form of tuberculosis killed him in almost six months. Death came on March 13, 1915, and Konstantin Ivanov did not quite live up to his twenty-fifth birthday. He was buried in his native village Slekbash. To some extent, he still managed to give the Chuvash people freedom, namely the unusually important freedom of speech.
Memory of Konstantin Ivanov
Despite the fact that this great and extremely talented person left this world so early, he will forever remain in our hearts. His monument stands on Red Square inthe city of Cheboksary, there is also a memorial plaque and a bust of K. V. Ivanov. The Chuvash Academic Drama Theater was built in his honor. The city also has a square and a street named after the poet. A memorial museum has been opened in Ivanov's homeland. His name is listed in the world encyclopedias, so Konstantin Ivanov will never die in the memory of the people. In the Chuvash Republic, 2015 is recognized as the year of the poet's memory.
