New Year's comedies: time for miracles

Before the onset of this long-awaited holiday, which makes everyone again and again, at least for a short time, but return to childhood, believe in miracles and make wishes under the chiming clock, the best New Year's comedies are usually shown on TV.

And then during the January holidays (fortunately, they are now announced not only for schoolchildren, but also for adults), you just have to click on the channels a little - and here you have comedies, New Year and Christmas, - whatever your heart desires.

With and without irony

Already, probably, no one imagines these days without the crowning film masterpiece "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!". Unfortunately, this year Russia was left without Ippolit, a wonderful artist Yuri Yakovlev. But all the same, once again, at least out of the corner of an eye, even while cutting another salad, housewives will look at the adventures of a drunken doctor in Leningrad, but how could it be without it! It's a pity,the sequel to the picture turned out out of hand, it would be better not to shoot it at all. The 21st century gave the audience a worthy replacement for "Irony …", a whole galaxy of "Yolok" with broken Urgant and Svetlakov. These movie almanacs are both soulful and full of wonderful gags - real comedies, New Year's to the same.

When everything is too much

From the good old films, it is worth remembering the unchanged and ageless "Carnival Night" with the dazzlingly young Gurchenko and later television "Magicians", a sort of Soviet fantasy. Touches and another comedy in the same style - "New Year's Tariff". The plot is borrowed from the US "Lake House". Alena and Andrey (wonderful Valeria Lanskaya and Maxim Matveev) in love are separated from each other by… 365 days. Young people communicate on a mobile phone with a special rate, only He lives in the future. And on the eve of the next New Year, the hero is simply obliged to save his girlfriend, otherwise what kind of holiday will this be?

Russian and American New Year's comedies (those are more about Christmas commotions) differ from each other, and quite noticeably. The US creators have more eccentrics - like in Gaidai's immortal tapes in his time. Such is "Christmas Holiday" with Chevy Chase. The restless owner of the house, Clark Griswold, is trying his best to arrange a grand celebration for his family, but he is making a little more effort than necessary for this. As a result, the Christmas tree is on fire - in the truest sense of the word. But the long-suffering garland was closed - and go and check all 25 thousand light bulbs! And here is Drew Latham from the tapeSurvive Christmas decided to celebrate the good old holiday in its own way. He hired a family (he doesn’t have his own) and comes off to the fullest! Not the best performance by Ben Affleck, but the movie is funny.

Anti-Celebrations

Christmas with the Losers begins its story with a conspiracy about "anti-celebration", which, of course, can be classified as a New Year's comedy. The characters, played by Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, have decided that this time they will do without the traditional Christmas stuff. It was not there, the neighbors opposed such an outrageous act in a united front. Tim Allen, by the way, is a well-deserved Santa of the USA, he has already portrayed this wizard in three "Santa Clauses" - also comedies, New Year's! Unrecognizable Jim Carrey in green makeup (for makeup, by the way, the film received an Oscar) Grinch (picture "The Grinch Stole Christmas"). This sociopath hates Christmas and everything related to these wonderful days. However, he will also have to believe in the good. Well, how in this review to refrain from mentioning two parts (the third turned out to be unsuccessful) of the film "Home Alone"! The adventures of the brave boy Kevin, accidentally forgotten by his relatives, have long left no one indifferent. Comedy? New Year's? Absolutely!
