Of course, tastes differ, but most films get justifiably low ratings. However, they still shoot good worthy films in Russia. And some films that can be safely attributed to quality are worth listing.

And many connoisseurs of quality cinema will have not very good associations at the sight of such a poster, because of which they may refuse to watch it. But in vain, because the film is worthy.

This novelty of 2016 is also referred to by many as the best Russian cinema. And some have said that The Duelist is the most intriguing film of recent times.

However, it turned out not bad. The genre goes back to urban mystery novels that were popular in the 19th century. In the center of the plot is a retired officer with a difficult life history and a cold heart. However, in the course of the development of history, the latter is refuted. The only way for him to make money is to kill ordered individuals in an provoked duel.

There are, of course, some complaints. To an actress who plays Marfa Tuchkova too unemotionally, for example. To the speech and diction of some characters. But in general, few Russian films do not have flaws. "Duelist" turned out to be quite good - without historical inaccuracies, with a dynamic plot. It is unusual to see Pyotr Fedorov in the serious role of a duelist. Especially considering that he starred in "Odnoklassniki.ru: Invite Good Luck" as a stupid loser student.

Fool

Talking about Russian films, one cannot fail to note this social drama. She is little known, she has nomulti-million dollar fees. This is not the universally recognized best Russian cinema. Many have never even heard of this film. Needless to say, The Fool was given less than 20 screenings in theaters.

And the film is really worthy. It demonstrates the indifference of the authorities to the problems of ordinary people. In the center of the plot is Dmitry Nikitin, a plumber who was called to a hostel where a pipe burst. The young man, during the inspection of the building, understands that it is in critical condition and is about to collapse. The residents don't suspect a thing. And so begins the struggle of one little man for the public good. Throwing in search of help, an attempt to reach out to higher personalities, harsh refusals, coldness, indifference - everything that is close, understandable and vital to us. And injustice. Plus the cruelty of the people for whom all this was done. I don’t want to reveal the entire plot of the drama - you just need to watch it. Not without reason, after all, "The Fool", according to network critics, is included in the list of "Russian films with a high rating."

Other movies worth watching

From the new films it is difficult to pay attention to something else worthy. If we talk about the best Russian comedies, then these will definitely be films from Quartet I. The most famous are What Men Talk About (the third part, by the way, is planned for 2017), Radio Day and Election Day.

Definitely worth watching the 2011 crime drama "Home". With a budget of 130,000,000 rubles, the fees amounted to only 4,500,000 rubles. Absolute unprofitability. BUTThe film is atmospheric, beautiful in every sense of the word. And, most importantly, sincere. By the way, Vasily Sigarev’s drama “To Live” is similar in atmosphere with “House”.

In Russia they still make good films. And this is good news. The most important thing is to watch them. Indeed, behind a not very attractive poster or the names of little-known actors, a cinematic masterpiece can be hidden.
