Initially, it was called the First State International Puppet Theatre. The actors played and now play performances in two languages - in Russian and Tatar. All performances are accompanied by great music. Talented composers of Tatarstan write it especially for the theatre. The repertoire of artists includes about 40 performances of various genres.
Building
"Ekiyat" has changed several buildings, the last 10 years helocated in a room that was once an Orthodox church. In 2012, the troupe moved "for permanent residence" to a new building, which is a whole center of culture and leisure for children. This is a huge room. It looks like a real fairytale castle. The area of this seven-story building is equal to the area of three football fields. In addition to the puppet theater, there are the Small Academy of Arts, children's cafes, play areas, and a shopping gallery for children's goods. Schools are also organized here:
- artistic;
- musical;
- graphic design;
- early development;
- "Young Traffic Police Inspector".
This building is a whole fairyland. Luxurious interiors are amazing. Here you can spend time with benefit and have fun from the heart. The puppet theater occupies exactly one third of the entire building. It has two auditoriums at its disposal: the Large, which can accommodate 258 spectators, and the Small, designed for 100 seats. Ekiyat is the only puppet theater that has an orchestra pit. The stage is designed for puppets of all types, so troupes from all over the world come here on tour. The large hall is equipped with modern upper mechanics, which is controlled from a single remote control.
The Great Hall is also equipped with the latest lighting equipment, which is represented by floodlights and profile spotlights. They are also controlled from the remote control. LED spotlights are capable of producing light beams of various colors.and shades. The lower mechanics in the form of collapsible podiums was made by a German company. In the Small Hall, the equipment is a little simpler. The rehearsal room also has spotlights, floodlights and portable acoustic equipment. Today, one of the most technically equipped is the Ekiyat Puppet Theater. A photo of the building in which it is now located is presented in this article.
