How many writers and civic leaders can be remembered who, seeing the whole situation of the country in the 1930s, were not afraid to talk about it openly? In fact, there are very few such people, and Igor Bunich was such a person. Before plunging into his literature, you need to know the path of his life in order to understand that all his work is an echo of the state of society and power, in particular.
Biography
Igor Bunich was born on September 28, 1937. He lived all his childhood in Leningrad. He graduated from the naval school in the city of Yeysk, which in some way influenced his work. After that, he returned to Leningrad, where he entered the shipbuilding institute. The initial profession was connected with naval affairs - at the Naval Academy he was engaged in the study of archival materials. Also, one of Igor Bunich's hobbies was the translation of articles from foreign languages.
After being fired, the writer begins to distribute hisown translations and narratives on military subjects. But at the same time, Igor Bunich did not admit that he was the author of these writings. A circle of acquaintances and friends enthusiastically accepted his work, not even guessing who the author was. Paying attention to the wide distribution of his literature, Igor Bunich began publishing his texts under the pseudonym I. Kolt in the Leningrad magazine "Clock" in 1981.
A year after these publications, the writer receives the first warning that he is promoting illegal literature that "desecrates the authorities" and distributes the "secret materials" of the country. A year later, in 1983, Igor Bunich received a second warning from the KGB, as a result of which he was fired from his job. For a long time, the author could only work as a night watchman.
A few years later, in the 1990s, Igor Bunich works for a people's deputy, which contributes to the spread of his literature.
Creativity by Igor Bunich
Books by Igor Bunich have a fairly diverse theme. All his written achievements are usually divided into three groups. Each of them has its own stylistic, plot and thematic features.
1 group: history on the brink of myth
This group of books includes those that are most common. The books of the first group are written in the genre of folk history, and also widely interpret the entire spectrum of Russian history in a fairly free fabrication. The author does not think about what secrets and views can be sown among readers.
Igor BunichHe wrote books not to order from the authorities in order to idealize everything that was happening, but for people who should assess the entire political situation of the country with a clear eye and dispel the myths of national history. Moreover, these are books that are easy to read and are not written with dry facts, but are full of light lyrical digressions.
These are books from the "Operation Thunderstorm" series. She became quite popular. At the sight of the inscription “Igor Bunich. “Operation Thunderstorm”, admirers of his work immediately have associations with Stalin, and this is no coincidence, since this series tells quite extensively about the leader’s desire to occupy Europe.
Moreover, this is a book that confirms that desire has begun to materialize as the author describes Stalin's preparations for occupation actions.
2 group: exposing the political system
The idea behind the books of the second group is the political views of Igor Bunich. This group also contains books that brought the author extraordinary popularity. The books reveal one of the most popular questions - why the Soviet government is not able to quickly cross the so-called "path of transformation", as other European countries did. Why is such cruelty and terror spread among the Russian population, and why are they so carefully trying to return the inhabitants to communism?
The books "Gold of the Party" and "Sword of the President" are a striking example of this group. Among politicians, there has always been a single combination of author and book: IgorBunich - "Gold of the Party". This book is an example that not everyone is afraid of power, repression and oppression.
The Sword of the President is the sequel to this book. Both narratives are filled with a lot of historical material, but nevertheless they are easy to read and become a kind of banner of the people.
Another book of the second group is "Chronicle of the Chechen Massacre", in which the author reveals the bloody curtain over the Chechen problem. The author is not afraid to use bright bloody examples in order to convey to the people that the ruling clan brought so much death, pain and blood to the country.
3 group: a look at the post-Soviet space
This is a book written in the final stage of Igor Bunich's life. They are not as popular as the works from the first two groups, but they constitute an equally important link in his work. The novels "Pirates of the Fuhrer", "Kaiser's Corsairs", "Alexander Suvorov" can be attributed to this group of books.
These books are filled with maritime themes, and for good reason, because, as you know, the naval hobby was his life's work. The themes of these books are bright and unforgettable, in which the author describes life on the water expanses of the Earth.
So who is Igor Bunich - a sailor or a writer?
It is impossible to give a definitive answer to this question, since during his life Igor Bunich was associated with naval affairs for quite a long time. But the author is also inextricably linked with his books. Based on the examples of his work, we can conclude that these two cases are interconnected betweenyourself.
Igor Bunich's life was not easy at all, but this man told his compatriots what many were afraid to admit to themselves. His books screamed the truth and still scream.
