The Russian Drama Theater (Ufa) has its roots in the 18th century. Today, its repertoire includes performances not only for adults, but also for children.
History of the theater
Russian Drama Theater (Ufa) was founded in 1772. It was then that the very first performance was played in the city. It was called "Pan Bronislav". It was placed by an exiled Pole.
The year of birth of the theater is considered to be 1861. It was then that the very first building for showing performances was built in Ufa. There was no permanent troupe, and artists who came on tour performed on the stage of the theater. The building was constantly exposed to fires.
The Russian Drama Theater (Ufa) formed its professional team only by the 30s of the 20th century. This process was long and difficult, but crowned with success. The theater received its own building in 1939. It was not very convenient, and the level of its technical equipment was far from ideal. But in the absence of a better one, we had to be content with what we had.
In 1982, the troupe moved to a new building, which was comfortable and technically equipped. The theater is located in it now.
Since 1984, the main director and artistic director in one person is M. I. Rabinovich.
In 1998 the theater received the title of Academic.
Today, when working on productions, the troupe is actively collaborating with well-known directors not only in the republic and the Russian Federation, but all over the world. Artists often tour Russia and the countries of the near and far abroad.
Tickets to the Russian Drama Theater (Ufa) can be purchased not only at the box office, but also on the official website online, at any time convenient for the buyer.
The troupe almost every year takes part in various festivals. The artists have already visited Yoshkar-Ola, Moscow, Y alta, Magnitogorsk, Kostroma, Estonian Rakvere, Kyiv, Tolyatti, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Belarusian Brest and even Italian Rome. The theater is a permanent winner, or at least a prize-winner, of these festivals.
The repertoire of the Ufa drama includes performances for adults based on classical works and plays by contemporary authors. But the theater does not forget about its young audience. For them, children's good fairy tales are included in the repertoire.
