The domestic series "Major" really brought something new to the TV screens. A good script, high-quality camera work, well-developed characters and storylines - all this is in the series, and it is incredibly interesting to watch the development of events. At the moment, 2 seasons (24 episodes) have been released and many are interested in whether there will be a season 3 of Major. Well, let's figure it out.

First season

The premiere of the first season took place on December 15, 2014, and then many did not even expect something interesting from the series. However, after watching the first episodes, the opinion changed dramatically, the viewer was already looking forward to continuing. No one even noticed how quickly the first 12 episodes raced by.

Second season

We had to wait almost 2 years for the sequel, but it was worth it. On November 14, 2016, the first episodes of the second season were shown on Channel Oneadventures of Igor Sokolovsky. The season also consisted of 12 episodes, which flew by very quickly, and instead of at least some answers regarding Igor's life, only more questions were left.

Will there be a season 3 "Major"

After the final episodes of the second season were shown on TV, a lot of people had quite logical questions about whether the continuation of the "Major" will wait for season 3 or not. Although, in fact, these were rather rhetorical questions. Almost no one had any doubts that there should be a continuation, because the scriptwriters cannot leave the audience alone with questions related to the further plot.

What to expect?

There is no doubt whether there will be a season 3 of "Major", the answer is obvious, much more important is something else - what to expect from the continuation? As we remember, the second season ended with the fact that Ignatiev was killed by Lieutenant Colonel Pryanikov at the very moment when he was about to tell Sokolovsky the name of the person who had arranged everything that had happened in his life. However, after a moment, Igor himself finds out who is behind everything - Fischer.

And although no one knows the exact scenario and will not find out before the premiere, one thing can be said for sure - the entire 3rd season will be built on the confrontation between Igor and Fisher.

Filming

For a long time there has been a discussion on the Internet about whether there will be a season 3series "Major" or not, until finally the creators announced the start of filming. It happened in the summer of 2017, when the filming of the sequel started. There is very little information on what stage the process is at yet, and no one is particularly spreading yet, so all that remains to be done is to wait.

Release date

So, after the answer to the most important question: "Will there be a Season 3 of Major or not?" was received officially, many became interested in the release date. Unfortunately, it is impossible to name the exact dates, except that the premiere of the series is tentatively scheduled for the fall of 2018. Of course, there is still a lot to wait, but do not forget that almost 2 years have passed between the first season and the second.

Not so long ago it also became known that the series and all rights to it were bought by the American video service Netflix, which is already preparing to premiere the first two seasons around the world with sub titles. Overseas, the series will be released under the name Silver Spoon. But this is not important here, but the fact that, perhaps, with the support of Netflix, filming will go much faster and very soon the creators will announce the exact date of the show.
