History

December 4, 1964 - the day that changed the city of Perm. The Theater of the Young Spectator appeared on this date. In 2014, the Youth Theater celebrated its 50th anniversary.

The basis of the theater's repertoire is performances staged based on the works of Russian and foreign classics: by G. Kh. Andersen, A. Chekhov, R. Bradbury, I. Turgenev, V. Shukshin, A. Ostrovsky, M. Twain, P. Ershov and many others. At the same time, the theater strives in its productions to show classical drama from today's position.

The repertoire includes completely different genres: fantasy, fairy tales, works by contemporary authors, plays for young people, and adventures. Spectators with completely different interests find their favorite performances. The Perm Youth Theater is always sold out. The theater is loved, the city of Perm is proud of it.

Young Spectator Theaterlocated in a beautiful two-story mansion belonging to the Art Nouveau style. This building was built in the 19th century. The architect was A. Turchevich. The mansion was built by the famous philanthropist in the city, the steamer E. I. Lyubimova.

Talented actors play in the theatre. They brightly and with dedication work on each of their roles. Today, the local Youth Theater is one of the leading youth theaters in Russia. The troupe is headed by the People's Artist of Russia - M. Skomorokhov. He has been a director for almost 30 years. Mikhail Yurievich is a laureate of various awards. And he was also awarded the honorary badge "Public Recognition".

Youth Theater knows and loves not only Perm. The Theater of the Young Spectator managed to become famous throughout the country over the years of its existence. The troupe takes an active part in festivals and competitions of both the All-Russian and International levels.

The Theater of the Young Spectator (Perm) receives a wide variety of reviews from the public about its productions. The play "Freshmen" caused negative emotions among many viewers. There are opinions that it does not carry any morality in itself, does not bring up a teenage audience, it shows only sketches from the life of 1st year students. Some viewers saw the propaganda of sex in this production. The performance is superficial, and there is nothing in it that could touch the soul. But there are also opinions that this production teaches young people that in any life situation it is necessary to remain human. Life is shown in it without any embellishment, so that the viewer, looking at it from the outside, thinks and can fix something.

About the work of most actors, the public leaves positive feedback. The audience praises Pavel Oznobishin the most. He is characterized as a talented, bright artist with a twinkle in his eyes, who puts his whole self into work on roles.
