Former guitarist of the famous American metal band Manowar ("Manowar") Karl Logan was arrested on August 9, 2018 on charges of possession of child pornography. In this regard, his further participation in the group was impossible.
Arrest
An arrest warrant for the 53-year-old musician was issued by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff in August. The heavy metal worker was charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree. The musician was taken into custody in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The bail was $35,000. After the payment, Karl Logan was released from prison, but he does not have the right to leave the country. His lawyers are preparing for court hearings. Information about the arrest appeared on the Web after a personal request from one of the journalists.
The episodes blamed on Karl Logan took place between June 18 and August 2, 2018, according to a North Carolina news channel. On the channel's website, information appeared that the musician is accused of keeping a detailed video of girls from 4 to 12 years old involved in various sexual activities by men.
North Carolina law states that a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree is brought if "a person, with knowledge of the nature or content, possesses material containing a visual image of a minor engaged in sexual activity."
World tour
In 2017, "the loudest band in the world" "Manowar" went on a farewell world tour. Fans were worried that the incident with the guitarist would interrupt this triumphal journey, but the team members took to social networks to say that despite the arrest of Karl Logan, the tour will continue, without Logan.
The new album, in which the guitarist will also not take part, will be released at the scheduled time. The journalists tried to contact the group's official representative for comment, but in the middle of the world tour it turned out to be almost impossible.
The band has nine concerts scheduled in Russia in 2019. Fans of the group in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Khabarovsk, Samara and Vladivostok are looking forward to the grand show from the group listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

By the way, it was because of this that Friedman once left, who wanted to play a more blues version of rock. But "Manowar" has survived the change of moods and tastes of the public many times, and, remaining true to their style, the musicians always returned to the stage with new songs, melodies and energy.
Former guitarist
Karl Logan is the stage name of American guitarist Carl Modjalescu. Logan was born April 28, 1965 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. After leaving school, Carl did a lot of music, was a member of a local group of teenagers. Subsequently, he had the opportunity to work with Arc Angel and the Fallen Angels.
He got into Manowar in 1994 when he met Joe DiMaio, practically running him over in his Harley. In general, Logan is known for his love of motorcycles and dirt racing. Also, fans know Carl as the person who gives interviews most often. In 2009, he even gave individual guitar lessons via Skype. He released a line of guitars that were sold on the band's official website. If aIf not for the August accusations, Karl Logan could successfully continue his musical career after the farewell tour of Manowar.
But under US law, possessing and distributing child pornography is a felony, and an accusation would damage the reputation of a star of any size. Even the king of pop, Michael Jackson has not escaped terrible accusations after his death.
Former Manowar guitarist David Shankl has stated on his Facebook page that he is ready to go on a world tour with the band.
