Collectivization is the main word that fully characterizes Andrey Platonov's story "The Pit". The summary of the work allows you to understand what Russia was like in the pre-war period. The worker Voshchev, on his thirtieth birthday, becomes unemployed because he was thinking about the future at work. Despite all his excuses, the management of the factory committee decides to fire him. Voshchev eventually leaves the city and sets off to seek the truth.
On the way, the hero sees how a husband and wife quarrel among themselves, and reconciles them, saying that the meaning of their life lies in a child who needs to be valued and respected. On the way, Voshchev finds a fellow traveler in the person of the cripple Zhachev, who leads a hooligan lifestyle and does not consider it shameful to engage in extortion.
The hero ends up in a team of craftsmen who give him the opportunity to work in a team that is building a foundation pit for a new residential building. Chiklin, who is for many a bastion of warmth and peace, was appointed senior digger, while he himself was repeatedly disappointed in people. That is how it is shown in the work "The Pit". The summary of the work, alas, does not convey all the subtleties of Chiklin's character.
Another member of the brigade is Kozlov, who, despite his fragile he alth, works together with everyone, wishing to live to a wonderful future. However, his state of he alth does not allow him to do this, and he thinks about how to get a pension due to his disability, and then choose the most suitable profession for himself. Perhaps the best work of all that Andrey Platonov created is "The Pit", a summary of which is still popular.
Engineer Prushevsky, who performs all the preliminary calculations, realized from his youth that his consciousness is gradually beginning to shrink. Thoughts of suicide are increasingly appearing in his head, he writes about this to his sister. Sometimes Pashkin, the local head of the trade union, appears at the construction site, all the time promising the diggers some kind of benefits. Thus, the essence of the Soviet system was shown in the story "The Pit". A summary of the work will help you understand how the people who lived in Russia felt at that time.
Zhachev blackmails the head of the trade union organization and his wife, demanding quality products in return. After that, the disabled person arrives in his wheelchair to the workers, who cannot leave him hungry. In the evening, Prushevsky visits the barracks, who simply cannot be at home alone, he is looking for support from Chiklin.
Prushevsky tells Chiklin that in his youth he saw a girl, damnwhose face he does not remember for a long time, but loves her all his life. The chief digger assumes that this is the daughter of a tiler, who left similar memories with him, he promises Prushevsky that he will be able to find her. In general, the theme of the search for a woman becomes one of the main ones in the story "The Pit", the summary of which affects only the most basic of them.
Chiklin finds a woman dying, but it turns out that she has a little daughter named Nastya. The digger manages to kiss the tiler's daughter before dying and recognize her. Left alone, he decides to take Nastya with him to the barracks where the workers live. They gladly accept her and begin to pamper her as much as possible.
Voshchev sees in Nastya a symbol of the future and therefore does everything to fight for him. Soon he becomes the chairman of the collective farm and agitates its inhabitants to work together to develop the pit. But then Nastya dies, and Voshchev loses the meaning of life. Chiklin buries the girl alone; with her, the hope for a bright future for all the heroes of the work died. The summary of the story "The Foundation Pit" is in great demand among students of Russian literature.
