Hannibal Lecter is a legendary character born on the pages of books by Thomas Hariss. Screen versions, in which this bloodthirsty and damn smart maniac subsequently appears, have never gone unnoticed. The image of Hannibal at the same time frightens, intrigues and causes a lot of conflicting emotions.

The essence of Hannibal is very multifaceted. He is a psychiatrist, an intellectual, a serial killer, and, of course, a victim-eater. He is both a tightly turned psychopath and a completely cultured educated person. Brilliant abilities allow him to do terrible things and lead even the most shrewd detectives by the nose. Few people are able to compete with him, not to mention send him to jail. Hannibal is the embodiment of evil that only his kind can play against.
Creation, book series
Lector's "daddy" is the writer Thomas Harris. It was in his head that the idea was born to create a terribly controversial hero who would be likeadmire the height of their IQ, and make them shake in horror with their addiction to cannibalism. As a result, Thomas published four novels: Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Hannibal Rising. The books turned out to be a real breakthrough, they immediately rushed to be filmed. Brian Cox: first on screen
The first actor to play the role of Hannibal Lecter was Brian Cox in 1986. Manhunter was based on the book Red Dragon and directed by Michael Mann (originally the script was to be written by David Lynch). The action revolves around the capture of a suddenly appeared killer (nicknamed the "Tooth Fairy"), who keeps the whole city in fear and leaves no evidence. To cope with an impossible task, the FBI agent has to turn to the villain of the villains - Hannibal Lecter for help.
Anthony Hopkins: The Lecturer Everyone Knows
No one is more associated with the image of a bloodthirsty genius than cult actor Anthony Hopkins. He played this role in three parts of the saga and was so great that he became the best Hannibal Lecter in the history of cinema. The American community began to refer to him as "the number one movie villain of all time." Goosebumps acting, a piercing steely stare and an absolutely believable fusion with the role helped Hopkins win an Academy Award forBest Actor for The Silence of the Lambs in 1991 (although he only appears in the footage for just over 15 minutes!).
Gaspard Ulliel: Lecturer of the new time
In 2007, a new film about a grandiose serial killer was released. "Hannibal Rising" is completely based on the fourth book of the same name. Here, director Peter Webber told the audience the early history of Hannibal, covering childhood, personality development and possible causes of mental disorders. Anthony Hopkins could no longer play the role of the young Hannibal Lecter, so the up-and-coming French actor Gaspard Ulliel got her.

The creators of the American series "Hannibal" decided to expand the story of the cult character and tell it in as much detail as possible, in several episodes. The author of the project is Brian Fuller. The plot is not far from the book: Agent Graham and Dr. Lector also join forces to catch the Tooth Fairy maniac. Mads Mikkelsen is an actor who has taken on the difficult role of Hannibal Lecter. The series is not for the faint of heart - it contains frankly bloody scenes. And each episode bears the names of various dishes - a kind of satire that takes into account the taste preferences of the protagonist.
