Vladimir and Sergey Kristovskie

Sergey Kristovsky was born on July 31, 1971 in Nizhny Novgorod. As a child, he was interested in hockey and played it professionally. After coming of age, the guy broke his collarbone, because of which he was forced to leave training.

Vladimir Kristovsky was born on December 19, 1975 and is the younger brother of the above mentioned Sergey. In school days, the boy was fond of music, today he cannot remember a single day without melodies.

The brothers wanted to create a common musical project and needed money. Therefore, everyone tried to earn the required amount in different ways. The elder tried himself as a DJ, played the bass guitar in Broadway. Incidentally, withWith this group, the guy went on a European tour and visited Germany for the first time. Sergey even managed to create his own group "Sherwood", with which he traveled all over Russia.

The younger one tried to get a job in the music industry and write songs for other artists. But I managed to work only as a courier, fitter, tanker, gas welder and even a hairdresser. Vladimir decided upon his return to Nizhny Novgorod to give up all ideas related to music, but began to play the guitar at various corporate parties in restaurants and cafeterias.

Formation history

The history of the Uma2rmaH group began with adventurism and a desire to take risks, which appeared in the two brothers Kristovsky. A younger brother named Vladimir loved to sing along with famous artists in his deep childhood. But Sergey was the first to start making money on composing texts and melodies.

The two of them went through collaborations with many bands, and they didn't manage to stay long. So I got the idea to create something of my own. This is how the first common song was born, where Sergey wrote the text, and Vova wrote the music.

Further, Vladimir assembled a punk band called Top View. The musicians recorded a demo and smashed it to recording studios, where they were all unanimously rejected. Once the guys won the Live Sound competition and got a chance to collaborate with a metropolitan recording studio. But the label went bankrupt. Therefore, they received only a small article in the local newspaper for the victory.

Brothersdecided to work together and play two guitars. The restaurant audience approved of them, and the duet decided on another demo tape. Then a miracle happened - Zemfira heard the song "Praskovya" and fell in love with her. The younger, Vova, and the brothers' best friend bought the elder a ticket to Zemfira's concert, and the singer even agreed to a duet.

Creativity

The guys changed their former name. The Uma2rmaH group shot a video for Zemfira's favorite song. As soon as the video was shown on television and radio, the popularity was already at the feet of ambitious guys.

Later, the famous director Timur Bekmambetov offered to write the music for the film "Night Watch" to the Uma2rmaH group. This film is considered the first Russian international blockbuster. The film itself received mixed reviews. And the final song of the Uma2rmaH group “Once upon a time Anton Gorodetsky was in the world” played in the minds of the audience for a long time.

Discography

2004 is the year of release of the band's debut album. It is called "In the city of N" (where the English letter N stands for Nizhny Novgorod). The album caused a sensation among all listeners and critics, the music charts gave him the first lines. The record was certified platinum, and the Uma2rmaH group won the Discovery of the Year nomination at the MTV Russian Music Awards. The album includes seventeen songs, including: a remix of "Praskovya", the soundtrack to "Night Watch" and "Uma Thurman". The guys even managed to perform the song in front of Quentin Tarantino himself, which amused and delighted him.

Second album "Maybe this is a dream?" released in 2005year. Listeners and critics did not take the release very positively. Everyone said that musicians do not develop. And two years later they wrote the soundtrack for the TV series "Daddy's Daughters", and absolutely free.

Roster evolution

The original line-up was the Kristovsky brothers, where Vladimir was responsible for vocals, guitar and arrangement, and Sergey played guitar, percussion and followed backing vocals. In 2004, Gennady Ulyanov came to the men, who shared Serezha's duties.

From 2005 to 2014, the composition of the Uma2rmaH group was replenished with new people. Been here already:

• Sergey Solodkin - added a special rhythm on drums and percussion;
• Yuri Terletsky - diluted the sound with a sweet solo guitar;
• Aleksey Kaplun - diversified the guitar monopoly with a sophisticated piano;
• Alexander Abramov - brought the saxophone to mysterious songs.

In 2014, Sergey Serov joined, he added the sound of a trombone to the compositions. In this composition, the group is actively working at the present time.

Amazing Collaboration

Uma2rmaH shared several songs with other influential celebrities. So, the tenderness of the compositions “You won’t call” and “Paris” was emphasized by the refined and soft vocals of Patricia Kaas. Under these songs you want to love, kiss and hug a loved one.

Another perky song with cute lyrics was complemented by a female voice. “Love on a snowboard” together with Lyudmila Gurchenko still sounds in headphones after returning from work.

Romantic track "Wait" got a new sound thanks to the gentle voice of Timati's rapper. The guys also worked with Pavel Shevchuk, the After 11 group, Oleg Gazmanov and others.

Intrigues, scandals, investigations

Despite all the simplicity and kindness of the group members, there were some scandalous situations. With the advent of nationwide popularity, the old name of the group "Umaturman" became very risky, since it is associated with a real person. To prevent disputes from arising in the courts, the musicians decided to change the name to Uma2rmaH.

With the release of the fifth studio album, gossip appeared because of the song "Horoscope". The composition jokingly mentions the failures of all astrological signs, except for Libra. The text mentions: “If you, like Putin, are scales, then everything will be fine, don’t piss.”

Many did not take such a humorous gesture and attributed it to political statements. But the brothers and their colleagues said it was just a musical "caricature" and nothing more.

Umaturman group today

With the advent of 2018, the team decided to release a new album called "Not Our World". This record was recorded in close cooperation with the influential producer and performer Pavel Shevchuk.

May 2018 was distinguished by the release of a new video clip for the song "Don't part with your loved ones." The video was directed by actress Tsykanova-Kott Anna. With the Match TV channel, the guys recorded an unofficial anthem for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
