Biography of Kenny Chesney
Kenneth Arnold Chesney was born on March 26, 1968 to David Chesney and Karen Chandler in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. His mother was a stylist and his father was an elementary school teacher. He has a younger sister, Jennifer Chandler.
Chesney spent most of his childhood in the small town where he was born. His parents divorced when he was still young. As a teenager, Chesney moved with hismother and sister in Knoxville.
Although he loved listening to bluegrass, rock and country rock since childhood, it wasn't until midway through his sophomore year as a business major at East Tennessee State University that he developed a serious interest in making music. After receiving a guitar as a Christmas present from his mother, he became attached to playing the instrument, picking up familiar tunes, writing his own songs, and practicing for several hours a day. Within just a few months, he began playing around campus, mostly covering songs by country artists such as George Jones and Hank Williams Jr. He also played his own compositions, which he recorded and sold on cassettes at his shows.
When Chesney received his bachelor's degree in advertising in 1990, he decided to pursue a career in music. In 1991, he moved to the country music capital of Nashville, where he performed regularly at low-profile venues. Looking for more professional opportunities, he auditioned for a local music publishing company and received a songwriting contract in 1992. The skills he gained led to a contract with Capricorn Records, for which he recorded his debut album, In My Wildest Dreams (1994).
Shortly after, Capricorn Records disbanded its country music division, and Chesney, who had already gained notable popularity as both a performer and songwriter, was quickly picked up by the BNA record label. His first album for this companyAll I need to know (1995) is a mix of love songs, ballads and upbeat melodies. His next album is lighter and livelier - Me and You (1996). It has sold over 500,000 copies.
He released many hit music albums:
- In My Wildest Dreams (1994);
- All I Need to Know (1995);
- Me and You (1996–1997);
- I Will Stand (1997–1998);
- Everywhere We Go (1999);
- No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems (2002–2003) et al

But their loyal fans know that it was a tumultuous romance and marriage that inexplicably ended in divorce.
