Irina Velembovskaya - Soviet writer, author of works in the genre of "women's prose". Several of her books have been filmed. At the same time, each film created based on the work of Velembovskaya became a real film masterpiece. Perhaps the whole point is that the heroines of this writer are close to the audience, because they are simple women suffering from loneliness, unsettled life and other life hardships.
Early years
Irina Velembovskaya was born on February 24, 1922, in an intelligent family. Until the age of nineteen she lived in Moscow. According to the memoirs of the writer, she mastered her parents' library at an early age: she read Ostrovsky, Gogol, Pushkin, Turgenev, Chekhov. My father was a lawyer by training, a communist of the first wave. Mother ran a bookstore. The childhood of Irina Velembovskaya was happy. However, in 1938 everything changed.
Father was arrested under Article 58. The mother was immediately fired from her job. Irina no longer had the opportunity to continue her education: the family was in distress. Ira went to work, and three years later, when the war began, she completed nursing courses and volunteered for the front.
War
Irina Velembovskaya worked in the hospital for several months. She later reflected this period in her story Marisha Ogonkova. But soon the girl was arrested on a ridiculous charge. Until the end of the winter of 1942, Velembovskaya was in the Nizhne-Turin prison. Then she worked at one of the factories located in the Urals. She worked for some time both in the gold-platinum mine and in logging. "Forest Story", "Minor", "More expensive than gold", "Larion and Barbara" - all these works reflect events from the life of the author.
In 1944, the writer got acquainted with the prototypes of the heroes of her future novel "The Germans". The fate of this work, like its author, is not easy. The first part of the novel was published in the early fifties. The entire work saw the light only twelve years after Velembovskaya's death - in 2002.
Return to Moscow
In 1946, Irina Velembovskaya returned to her hometown. But the house was no longer there. A communal apartment was made from the parent's apartment. Irina was taken in by a distant relative, who also helped with the work. At first, Velembovskaya worked as a janitor at a school, then got a job at a furniture factory. The heroine of today's article also worked in children'sa manger, and a toy factory. Then she returned to school again, but already as an accountant. Irina Velembovskaya entered the Literary Institute in 1957. She was 35 by then.
Gradually, Velembovskaya's works began to appear in literary magazines. But the topics she touched on did not suit the censors. Books were published, but "with a creak". Nevertheless, in 1965, a film based on the work of Irina Velembovskaya "Women" was released. This picture was not just a hit. She entered the golden collection of Soviet cinema. And in the late seventies, the films "Sweet Woman", "Young Wife" were created based on Velembovskaya's books.
