There is hardly a person in the modern world who has never heard of Star Wars, the cult science fiction epic film directed by George Lucas.
The first film of the legendary saga about the adventures of the Jedi Knights, called "Star Wars. Episode IV A New Hope", was released in 1977. At the moment, the franchise includes 10 movies, several cartoons, books, comics and video games for computers and consoles.
The Star Wars universe is huge - the movies take place on dozens of planets and span almost a hundred years. In the center of the global plot is the confrontation between the Light and the Dark side. The Star Wars weapons and vehicles used in this war are of particular interest to fans of the saga. And some devices, such as a lightsaber, have become an unofficial symbol of the franchise.
Droids
As the official definition states, a droid is a mechanical and/or electronic construct designed to facilitateorganic life forms. In other words, droids are robots with artificial intelligence and are used by the inhabitants of the galaxy in various fields, from medicine to astromechanics.
This is an extensive type of Star Wars vehicle, divided into five ordinal classes. The class to which a droid belongs determines the scope of its activity. For example, first-class robots have the most complex thinking, which is why they are often used in medicine, mathematics, physics, and other similar sciences. Droids of the last class are absolutely primitive in comparison, and can only perform monotonous chores.
This type of Star Wars vehicle is used by both the Republic and the Empire. For example, one of the most famous droids of the original trilogy is R2-D2, which once belonged to the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and helped the Rebel Alliance in the operation to destroy the Death Star.
Walkers
As the name implies, walkers are combat vehicles equipped with legs that allow them to move on the surface with peculiar steps.
Somehow, representatives of this type of technology from Star Wars resemble giant animals. This is how the engineers of the Galactic Empire were inspired when creating the blueprints for walkers.
Walkers make up the bulk of the Star Wars Empire's vehicles, with its army equipped with the AT-AT series of war machines. Despite their sluggishness, walkers oftenused as a vehicle for soldiers. Low maneuverability and movement speed are successfully compensated by high-quality armor.
This type of technique is very accurately described by a saying that is popular among representatives of the Resistance Alliance: "The walker will crush you before you notice it."
Star ships
Starships, also called spaceships or starships, are transport ships used to move around the galaxy.
One of the key elements of every starship is the hyperdrive, which allows the ship to travel great distances in a short amount of time. Without hyperacceleration, moving from one star system to another would take many times longer.

Another spaceship featured in the original trilogy is the Millennium Falcon. This is a light cargo ship, one of the owners of which was Han Solo.
Tanks
In addition to walkers, the ground forces of the Republic and the Empire also include tanks. Most often they were used as forcessupport or in order to break through the defenses of the enemy side.
During the Clone Wars in Star Wars, Republic vehicles were represented by tanks from the TX-130 series. These war machines were used successfully to counterattack Imperial walkers, being much faster and more agile than them.
With the help of TX-130 tanks, the Republicans also patrolled the territory, conducted reconnaissance operations and carried out fast attacks.
