May the force be with you… It was with this phrase that we, as schoolchildren of the eighties, began our greeting. God, how long ago was that. And now children are enthusiastically watching all the ups and downs of the life of Star Wars heroes.

While the younger generation follows the adventures of the Jedi and other inhabitants of the planet George Lucas, we older people are immersed in memories.

A bit of history

The emergence of "Star Wars" in the life of our generation began with the old "suitcase" VM-12. Oh, these four symbols for a generation are an alternative window to the world of the Movie Travelers Club. The VM-12, the first Soviet-made video recorder, really looked like a huge suitcase from which an elevator carriage for a cassette was raised. I don’t know who came up with such a “design”, but it was terribly uncomfortable.

The presence of such a unit in the house was a great luxury. And there was always a person who had her at home. And the smartest thing to do is to use it… Of course, while watching Star Wars. Episode IV: A New Hope. After films about the problems of iron production or the missing crop, which were often shown on Soviet television, the Star Wars of all children of that time (and not only children),was a trip to another galaxy. The next day, the children came to school already "Jedi".

I don't know if kids in schools are playing Jedi these days, but what they continue to watch is Star Wars, that's for sure. Therefore, the release of the "Attack of the Clones" screen for many was a return to childhood. Although many liked "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith." I don't know, maybe the charismatic "piece of iron" General Grievous turned out to be a more villainous villain than Christopher Lee's Count Dooku, but nevertheless, "Revenge of the Sith" is also a very popular series.

Storyline

The plot is filled with many events, but stop at the main ones.

The war between the Republic and the Separatists is in full swing. General Grievous captures Chancellor Palpatine. Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, trying to save the chancellor, are themselves captured by Grievous. True, then they manage to escape, but they will not be able to fight with the general.

After returning, Skywalker learns that he is expected to have an addition to the family, but instead of joy, he feels anxiety for his wife. Fearing her death in childbirth, he seeks an opportunity to defeat Death.

Meanwhile, General Grievous becomes the leader of the Confederation. The next meeting between Grievous and Obi-Wan ends in a duel. Crippled in this battle, General Grievous tries to escape death, but Mega-Jedi Kenobi overtakes him and kills him.

Meanwhile, Skywalker, hoping to find the elixir of immortality for his wife, goes to the "dark side" and gets a new name - Darth Vader. But this does not save his wife, who nevertheless dies, having given birth to twins, a boy, Luke, and a girl, Leia. Subsequently, Leia will be taken to the queen on Alderaan, and Luke will be sent to Tatooine.

The Sith villains have won, but the war will continue until the final victory of Good, but in other episodes of the saga called "Star Wars". General Grievous, unfortunately, will no longer appear, although who knows…

Animated series

However, there is an animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", which was released already in 2002 and there, General Grievous, beloved by everyone, is the main villain.

George Lucas's Star Wars spaceship continues to sweep through our lives (and now also our children's lives). General Grievous, may the force be with you!
