Having received a secondary education in one of the schools of the town, Georgy Skrebitsky goes to the capital, where he enters the Faculty of Literature at the Institute of the Living Word. After the young man mastered the art of writing, the next step in his studies was the Higher Zootechnical Institute. Here George mastered the basics of hunting and fur farming.

After graduating from this institution, the young man goes to work at a research institute for fur farming and hunting. Then he was a researcher in a laboratory at Moscow State University, where he researched the psychology of various animals. This work allowed Skrebitsky to participate in various expedition trips, to explore the life of animals in freedom.

He has been making such observations for 5 years. In 1937, Georgy Alekseevich was awarded the title of Candidate of Biological Sciences. For some time he headed the Department of Animal Physiology at Moscow State University. All this time he worked on several scientific papers related to zoology and animal psychology.

Singer of Russian nature

The older the scientist got, the more often he wanted to write down all his hunting adventures on paper, as well as capturechildhood memories of the first encounters with nature. The bright features of the writer-naturalist's talent in creating scripts for filmstrips and cartoons were especially poignant. In all these works, the main characters were animals. In 1949, Georgy Skrebitsky visited Western Belarus. After that, he wrote many essays and collected them in the book "Belovezhskaya Pushcha". The writer never finished his last story, it was completed by Vera Chaplina. Death overtook Georgy Alekseevich unexpectedly, in the summer of 1964 he had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. An acute heart attack did not give Skrebitsky a chance, he died on August 18 of the same year.
